Hey Blog… I want to use you more. But then so much happens and I feel like the entries need to be longer and longer and then I just give up and don’t write anything. So maybe I should just cover a single week. Last week to be specific. Even then the week has way too much in it. Lets try it though…
The week starts on a Monday in my world, and end on a Sunday. Despite the Sun-Sat most calendars have. My Monday started with the stomach flu. I think I caught it at the previous weekends wedding in Iowa. Perhaps there is a relationship between Iowa and stomach flu since I’m two for three since moving here. So I spent the day curled in a ball mostly dying. Luckily it was only 50% of the symptoms of last time, but I still prayed for my death several times and asked Leanne if she would put me out of my misery. Her suggestion of smothering myself with a pillow, but that was too difficult to do solo. I kept passing out before I could finish the job.
Tuesday I continued dying but made it to work. Nothing eventful besides skipping run club which made me sad. Wednesday I met Charity for lunch which was fun and the pizza was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend Zeeks to everyone!
Thursday was a big improvement and even though I skipped run club, I managed to do a quick 5k at work. Also I got a performance review which was positive. I know I shouldn’t be shocked but performance reviews continue to confuse me since I have no idea what to do to get a good, bad, or neutral one. But hey positive helps me know I’m not getting fired, which my overactive imagination is convinced of every other day. That night I looked at my first apartment, which immediately happened after my Roomie asked me to stay another month. I love living here, but then I got soo excited about having my own place with crazy smart gadgets Apartment was cool, I loved the loft style! The apartment was too narrow, no parking, and expensive. So I’ll probably pass. Plus if I stay here an extra month I save a bonus thousand dollars in savings.
I got home and Charity asked me if she could bring over the hat I forgot. I thought she wanted to just drop it off, she ended up staying till three AM. We went over this crazy questionnaire that is supposed to create a strong connection with someone. I think the jury is still out on the results but it was fun learning more about Charity on a deeper level. Finding commonality with someone who seems so strikingly unique is cool.
Friday was dull. I cooked. Made a terrible tuna casserole recipe. Saturday was more exciting woke up early got in line for free tickets to the Sasquatch release party. Ran a slow 11 miler. No knee pain immediately. Though I really desperately need to fix my stride so I can run pain free. Later than night I went to the symphony with Ashley and had an amazing time. We were front row which had a crazy view. I could see up every person nose. The music was intense and beautiful and crazy! Loved it I want ticket to see more! Then we got sushi and stayed up late watching a Devil Wears Prada. It always amazes how much I can cram in a single day.
Today was Superbowl Sunday! The excitement was in the air. Seattle was literally shivering with anticipation. I got donut and made queso. I skipped yoga cause you know lazy. The party was fun! Lawson had a ton of people over. Saw some old friends and made some new. Even came up with three themes for Ragnar. I’m thinking Despicable Me, Leotards, and Rocky Horror Picture Show. Then the end game. It seemed clinched. One yard from a touch down, three downs to go. They THREW it! It was INTERCEPTED! Partriots win What. The. Fuck. I bailed I couldn’t handle it. The day started off so good and then ended with a resounding defeat.
Wonder what will happen next week.
