So, Teddy you have evolved from feral to Frankenstein. Ok, ok, we all know It’s Dr. Frankenstein and “the monster” but this bit would be less fun if I just called you a monster. So, we’re sticking with the general population view of what Frankenstein is. Anyway, Teddy you can walk! Well, you’ve taken steps for a few weeks but basically at this point you would rather walk then crawl. I’m sure your poor knees appreciate it. The best part though is when you walk you shuffle side to side like an out of wack metronome, and you fully extend your arms in front of you partially out of passionate desire for what you are walking towards / keeping your balance. In summary you walk like Frankenstein. It’s great! You’re so happy about it. We’re basically baby proofed to this point anyway, well except you’re newfound desire to attempt to turn the stove on. Thanks for that. Its great needing to worry about someone attempting to burn the house down while left unsupervised. I’ve tried explaining to you these consequences, but your vocabulary is… limited. Here are the words we’ve tracked that you know how to say:
Cookie: Kukey
Pasta: Pa-pa
Water: Wawer
Flower: Fwawer (very close to water)
Mom: Mama
Dad: Mama
Teddy: Mama… there seems to be a pattern here
Car: Ka
Bubbles: ba-ble
Cheese: Chi
Fart: Toot
Bluey/Bottle: Baba (we’re not actually sure)
I think that’s everything… I was reading 15 month olds know about 10 words, and 18 months know about 50. So, I’m excited to see this soon to be exponential growth. FYI Adults know like 40,000 words Jealous???
In other news SI you are moving along quite nicely. You are starting to make a bit more of an appearance each day in your mom’s belly. She even claims she can feel you kick. We have ultrasound in two weeks though not much to discover there since we already did the NIPT. Kate did buy your first dedicated outfit. Its very cute pajama set which says “Little Sister” Though in retrospect being a sister is probably a huge part of your future identity, much like Teddy’s will be brother. I think we need to get you more “you” focused things. Cause you’ll be awesome and awesome people should get to just be awesome without dependencies. On that note I’m off to play some Tears of the Kingdom!
