Well, the days are counting down and soon I’m going to be leaving my Paternity leave. I am so sad we aren’t going to get to hang out as much every day. I’m going to miss our walks to get coffee in the morning or ice cream in the afternoon. I mean we’ll still do it but now I must factor in my job before skipping out on being an adult. You were a super awesome baby these last few months. All my other dad friends say their baby won’t sleep or is super crazy. You just kind of hang out, have a hard time going to sleep, but once you’re out you’re out. I built our backyard fence over this time too. I wonder how long it will stand! I’m hoping until we sell our current place.
I’ve also made tons of new parent friends since you’ve been born. There’s PJ and Kaetlynn (sp?) with Eddie (You met them when you were 9 days old!) There’s Tim and Nichole and their future son Henry. You met them at the West Seattle Festival. There’s Olivia and Michael with their two daughters Penelope and I think Magnolia… shit I should know that. Your mom definitely remembers. We met them at a pride picnic. Hosted by Brietta and Marty (and Rhys) they’ve known you since you were negative one month. You also met Craig and Bridget’s baby Anderson about a week after he was born. Comparing the two of you is crazy in size. You hung out with your Cousin Gray and Dana for the first-time last week and you were completely in awe of their older kids (Azalia and Ezra) They had soooo much energy and you were like “Why are they moving so much!” I suppose you’ll be the same way when you finally learn to crawl/roll.
Anyway, I want you to know these last 10 weeks have probably been the best 10 weeks of me being an adult. So, thank you for that 🙂
