We got in to Arenal yesterday and man has it been a full two days. First damn Costa Rican keyboards and their messed up key placement. We got in to the town after a very lovely boat right from Monte Verde. Super peaceful and relaxing.
Then got to the hotel grabbed a bite, and moved on to a hike in Fortuna Waterfalls. It was like 500 steps down but the waterfall was amazing. Probably the most beautiful waterfall I´ve ever seen including Thailand here. I went swimming where it was so cold my nipples could practically cut glass. Swam about 5 feet out realixed I´d probably die if I went further so I pulled it back in.
After that did a night hike up to Arenal, obviously couldn´t go all the way just a bit up. Still beautiful. Watched one of my tourmates run frantically from a dog. In the dogs defense she totally went on his turf. After that went up to a ranger station and tried to spot the volcano top. Sadly so much fog means no top or lava. But we did try some lovely Costa Rican liquour lol
Today woke up went Horseback riding to Fortuna but took a different path. I really want to learn how to ride a horse now. The horses name was Diago 🙂 We trotted and cantered, but according to my mates did not gallop. Lets see got back went to the same pizza place I did the night before for lunch. It was quite tasty though not as good as my original visit which was full of cheese.
Then we did the hot springs. It was a bit boring, but there were some cute girls in some very fun bikinis. That peeked my interest a bit. Other than that had a generic buffet. Dipped my toes in a 63 degree Celsius pool, and had a good time hanging with Greg. Now I´m off to Puerto Viejo tomorrow
