I feel like I would blog more if I didn’t have to go the recesses of my office. Though I guess I can’t complain too much, since I do have a real life office in my current residence. A first for me. Currently it’s the home of my desk and every box I’m too lazy to unpack. This is still a surprisingly large number. I still need to hang my paddles, though acquaintances think they don’t give off a good adult vibe. It makes me wonder if any of my fellow alumni Pikes hang theirs up. I’m thinking of you Vince… ASS.
The house is coming together rather nicely. I am not looking forward to the first mortgage payment. Fortunately, living in Iowa makes this number pretty darn low, though I got my rate during the current mortgage uptick. Beth and I got a brand new king size bed, which is utter heaven. I went from using my Grandma’s old mattress to buying the Mercedes, ok maybe not Mercedes, how about the Toyota of mattresses. At least its not the Dodge Shadow or Daewoo of mattresses. I literally feel like I’m being held as I sleep.
The new TV is working wonderfully. We also got a DVR for it which has got to be the best invention ever made next to fire, beer, and TBRs. The washer and dryer I setup myself have yet to explode slash flood the upstairs, which is a sign of my mechanical engineering prowess. Eat that Rose-Hulman.
On that note Halfcent out
Our little Halfcent is growing up. It won’t be long now until he’s a Fullcent.
P.S. I hung my paddles.

Don’t feel bad about the paddles. When you walk into my house, the front hallway is lined with them. Needless to say, I’m still a big fan of them.

My house is a place that I love to be and it has all of the stuff I love around me. I think that if you love your paddles…put them up. 🙂

umm… I have dolls up and grandma has a batch of match box cards mounted for all to see, so I think hanging your paddles is fine.
