So my Birthday was too much fun. First Beth took me to express and bought me a new outfit to wear, which helped me look like an adult instead of a hobo for a change. Then we gathered our bags and went to some random town in WI which left me utterly clueless. So after about three hours we ended up in Horton? WI for the trollway. Where we went on a walking tour of a quaint lil town and had a lovely little lunch at a local bar. After that I was blind folded and taken on a ride. When I could see again I was at the double tree hotel. I wasn’t quite sure what city I was in. Its quite a strange sensation to not know where you are. After a few minutes of sleuthing I determined I was in Madison. What I was doing in Madison I had no idea.
Beth and I took the elevator to our rooms and to my completely and speechless surprise Vince and Alex were standing there! It was like the best surprise I could ever get for my birthday. It turns out Vince had been taken on a similar clueless trip to Madison from the twin cities as well. Alex even told him to bring his passport so he had zero idea as to where he could possibly be going. So we get to the hotel and the girls took us to a really nice Italian restaurant for dinner. I got home made gnocchi which melted in my mouth. Then we came back to the hotel and ate a great chocolate cake and Vince and I played games and drank 99 bananas. Afterwards we wondered to the bar up the street (nitty gritty) and it turns out people who are having their birthdays get free beer! Holy crap as much as I love drinking 99 bananas with Vince, drinking free beer with Vince is even more fun! The night ended, the ball dropped, and I fell asleep loving my girlfriend and my super fun birthday.
That’s pretty elaborate. You didn’t, even for a moment, suspect she might be tricking you into being sold into an underground sex ring? Now that’s what I call a trust exercise.

You have had some wonderful birthdays but I think this one sounds like the best yet! Beth is so perfect for you to surprise you like that. 🙂
Congrats on the puppy too. I cannot wait to meet him. You know that I am scared of dogs…but Arthur does not look all that scary from his pictures. 🙂
