When some people get really busy they feel flustered and stressed, when I get really busy I feel important and valued. Right now at work I have three and half different things to be working on and I dig it. When you get work piled on top of you I always felt it was a way for your boss to show that he has trust in you to handle the problems. Also when I’m frantically trying to keep up with the work load the 8 hours day goes by much faster. Next week I have 32 hours of training plus have two deadlines on some projects I want to hit, so I will definitely be keeping busy.
I was sitting at work today listening to my Ipod in the lab, and it seems like every song that was play was of the “I’m a pre-pubescent girl” variety. I will admit I have a few of the latest pop hits on my mini, but only because I like the beat I swear. This weird streak of music though had me questioning the quality of music I’ve been listening too lately. I try to be hip and cool with my music selection, but I guess I’m slipping. Fucking Kelly Clarkson… I did download Snow Patrol for the first time and absolutely love their stuff; also I’ve really digged rocking out with Rock and Roll Soldiers and Jet. I must be hilarious at work jamming to the music with a little head bopping action, while all the other engineers are diligently working around me with an intense look of concentration.
