Got in to the Yellow Hostel Last night and it truly feels like an authentic Hostel. Its bunk livingesque, where there is 8 people to a room with very little privacy. Though I must say it has been quite a nice stay. The staff has been really helpful in getting us situated. They showed us where we needed to go, and the Hostel provided us with an awesome free breakfast. Emphasis on the free. Also its tons of fun to meet all the different and diverse people that are staying here. Just last night we met a group of Aussies who are on Summer Holiday. It was interesting getting their perspective on American culture. We were all in agreement that American Beer is the worst piss flavored swill in the world.
Anyway Rome is gorgeous. Today I saw the Colosseum, the Patheon, the Important looking fountain that I can’t remember the name of, and just some amazingly old and ancient ruins. Just being surrounded by this breadth of culture and age makes me feel exhilerated. Getting lost in Rome and stumbling upon random ruins has been quite fun. Tonight Vegas and I, will hopefully be attending midnight mass at the Vatican, though I hear its completely packed so we’ll see how that goes.
