Sorry to cut it short last night, our friend Melissa had to catch a plane back from the states, originally she thought it left at noon apparently it left at 9 am which was not condusive to our current schedule so we had to flee the internet cafe in order to catch the last train out of Florence to Rome
Anyway I was saying The Alps was reasonably priced, only about 200 Euro for the entire excursion. It was also gorgeous. I have never skied in real mountains before so I was excited. Though unfortunately I never hit anything really challenging. All the peaks where we were, were either Blues or Greens, no blacks. Though apparently there was a hidden black that I didn’t discover till the end and didn’t have a chance to go down.
The hotel we stayed at was amazing, it was quaint and the food they provided with the room was wonderful. It was only 50 Euro for breakfast, dinner, and the room. It was funny though, apparently we showed up at the end of the off season so out of this large hotel we were the only people staying there. Everyone was really friendly though and we got to watch them decorate for christmas, which I might add is dramatically different from the states.
Being in Italy has really increased my desire to speak a different language, and to possibly work abroad. I know Rockwell has Paris offices so I was thinking how cool it would be to eventually transfer there and work for a year or two. This is all amazing wishful thinking of course. Anyway my time is almost up, I am catching a train to Rome shortly. That just sounds so cool to say.
