honestly don’t have anything intelligent to say right now, so just stop wasting your time…
With that out, i shall continue.
This past little bit has been for the most part…fine. Some things grand, some things not, so it balances out to a fabulous, mediocre….fine. I’ve been busy with homework, which sucks. But when i am not doing homework and just need someplace to relax, where i don’t need to think and don’t need to try to impress anyone, i always got my best friend…
This weekend was…fine. I was bored off my ass on Friday and ended up going to bed semi-early for a Friday. My roommate and I did go to HyVee and got a bunch of food, including this French Silk pie which was awesome. Saturday was fun, because I took my awesome friend Alicia to go see “The Grudge”, the new horror flick with Sarah Michelle Gellar. I can’t say that it is a good movie, but I haven’t seen a really scary movie in a long time, so it was certainly fun. Alicia is the first person that i have known to actually pull a muscle while watching a movie. She got so freaked out at the first scary part, kicked her leg out and pulled her calf muscle (or quad…can’t remember). Anyway, it was super funny. After that, she was holding onto my sweatshirt for the rest of the movie. Well, towards the end, when you knew some serious shit was going down, she turned to me and said in probably the most commanding voice i have heard from her “Give me your arm!”. She then thrusted her arm under mine and held on tight. It was so funny! I spent half the time freaked out by the movie and the other half just laughing at her. They did show the previews for “Saw” which looks scary as hell, and i know that Devin wants to see that when it comes out, so maybe i’ll have to give it a whirl too…
We then went to dinner at this mexican restaraunt with some old and new friends on the floor, along with some former Barker-ites (Barker is the name of my dorm floor). Good seeing people. Chilled in her room after that, with my roommate making strawberry daquiris (sp?). He tried hard, and got better as time went on, except he learned the hard way that plastic doesn’t work well in blenders. i had a few chunks of his plastic stir spoon in my drink, but we lived.
Watched the vikings march to victory without Moss on Sunday, so for you bastards that think that he is all the Vikings got, well…you are wrong. Defense needs some work, but the best quarterback in the league doesn’t get that title from just one receiver.
I was crabby yesterday because i didn’t sleep well on Sunday night, but I went rollerblading last night and went hardcore, so that pretty much fixed things. Just felt so good exercising…perfect temperature and weather. We had our semi-final game of broomball last night and won 1-0, so finals are on Thursday night. Hopefully i’ll remember to tell ya’ how we did.
That leaves today, which i am happy. I don’t know why, but i am in a good mood. Need to work on some homework for a bit, then I got my night class later on, but it should be all good.
Oh, this is interesting, but i learned last week that this girl, a friend on the floor, is from the Terre Haute area. Didn’t live in town, but whatever, that’s not important. However, her grandpa (i think) was the one that founded the Computer Science program at Rose. Crazy… thought that was cool for all ya’ CS peeps.
Well, time to study up my Public Administration stuff…peace
