It seems like my schedule has turned in to, class, projects, eat, HW, HW, maybe sleep, HW, then class. I’ve really gained an appreciation of computer engineers, taking comp arch and conApps is really difficult. Like I honestly haven’t had a really good breather moment all week. I have found time to lift a couple of times which is great, and I watch the cubbies while doing HW so its ok, but otherwise I haven’t had any mellow time. Its really frustrating, because I want time to do my own studies, and become better at things I like, but thus is life at rose. Maybe over fall break I’ll be able to actually add code to my site and add some more features but who knows. I’ll prolly end up just playing catch up.
I promised I was going to talk about Homecoming and if I wait any longer I’ll forget so here we go. Homecoming pretty much started Thursday for my friends. I dd’ed em to Cody’s house and it was a pretty fun party. Lots of booze and alums so it was cool, I ended up going back to the house and doing conApps, but I breezed through that assignment and drove back to Cody’s with Alexis. I was there just in time to catch mike doing a 22 second beer stand. He was pretty screwed up that night. I stayed till about 2 and drove back like 4 other people, very tight fit in my car, but I don’t think any of em cared since they were all pretty gone. It was definitely awesome getting to see Byrne again.
The next night was party night for me. I started off the night very light and didn’t have very much. Prescott, Andy, and I walked to the pep rally from the house and got to see us win the banner contest. Then we checked out the bonfire, and that was freaking awesome, really tall, really bright, and really freaking hot, damn eyebrows are still singged. Me and a bunch of brother walked back, I have a good feeling half of em were smashed. After about a mile walk back I hit up the PC downed close to 4 shots, and was primed for some DodgeBall action.
It was brutal, the Alumni kicked our asses. Pretty much walk out pick up a ball and get smacked by 3 other balls. Also the Gym was in a dust haze, poor house keeping I guess, so it was definitely hard to run around and breathe. After Dodge ball, I had a few more drinks pretty much wandered around aimlessly worked on sobering up, and came back to the dorms to work. I almost made it through my entire shift without falling asleep I was soo proud.
After waking up the next day, yup you guessed it, went straight back to the house. The guy’s 1/5th race wasn’t going so well, too hungover from the night before so we just hung out and played video games and watched Brave Heart. I don’t know why we started drinking, but suddenly around 9 I was working on my Coronas. It was awesome Ramsey was like “no no I’m not drinking tonight, seriously guys, I’m staying sober” And about an hour later he had 5 tequila shots, so much for will power. My friend John also was trying to stay sober, but broke, and had god knows how much. I finished up that night by wrestling with Andy, bad idea. I was holding my own pretty well, then I got jabbed in the gut. 10 minutes later I was keeled over a toilet, puking everything in my system out. I was completely sober after that, I wasn’t even bad when I got sick, it was just the shock to the stomach.
It was freaking awesome, though I got tons of pictures, and got to see my big bro plastered, which I don’t see often. I got to see lots of Alums, like Baldauff, Grandstaff, Byrne, Lo, and tons others. Definitely a fun Homecoming. I guess it seems like it was only fun because of drinking, but there was a lot more to it than that. The act of just hanging out and have a good time with some many people was lots of fun, and if you give me some time, I’ll post the pics too!
